Dolce Hotels and Resorts, operator of 27 upscale hotels, resorts and conference hotels in North America and Europe, has opened a West Coast sales office and appointed Lynn Pescherine global account director to lead it, focusing on corporate clients in the technology and retail markets.
Establishment of Dolce’s Global Sales office in San Francisco closely follows addition of the 439-room Silverado Resort to the Dolce system in July. The 1,200-acre historic golf resort in Napa, Calif., features a 15,000-square-foot executive conference center, two championship golf courses, 16,000-square-foot spa and two signature restaurants.
Silverado is the company’s second hotel in California. The 214-room Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose joined the Dolce system in 1973. It features 33,000 square feet of function space, two restaurants, a lounge, fitness center, outdoor pool, tennis courts and a day spa on a green campus surrounded by lawns, gardens and palm trees, 45 minutes from San Francisco and Monterey.
Pescherine, of Burlingame, Calif., formerly was director of national accounts for Gaylord Hotels, responsible for 60,000 room-nights annually. Gaylord recognized her as the highest producer on its national sales team in 2008. From 2006 to 2007, she was director of northwest sales for the 1,000-room LaQuinta Resort & Club in LaQuinta, Calif.
From 2002 to 2004, Pescherine served the 1900-room Hilton San Francisco Union Square as senior convention sales manager and was nominated for a Circle of Excellence award three times during her tenure. She was convention sales manager at the 1,980-room Hilton New York from 1999 to 2002.
Pescherine studied at the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management at the University of New Orleans.
Dolce Hotels and Resorts, founded in 1981, is majority-owned by Broadreach Capital Partners. The company, headquartered in Montvale, N.J., employs more than 4,000 worldwide. Additional information is available at www.dolce.com.
Dolce’s portfolio includes properties in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Colorado, California, Ontario, Belgium, France, Spain and Germany.
As a leader in the meetings industry, Dolce hosts some 30,000 events and 4 million group clients globally every year. The company’s founder pioneered the conference center concept and Complete Meeting Package, both now embraced as standards by the International Association of Conference Centers.
The company’s vision is to create inspiring environments that bring people together, and its mission is to delight its guests, challenge its associates, reward its owners and serve as a role model in its communities.
