Hainan’s Shenzhou Peninsula Celebrates Its Grand Opening at the End of 2010
Shenzhou Peninsula, located on the east coast of Hainan Island, will be celebrating its grand opening at the end of 2010 when this long-awaited world-class resort will welcome visitors from all over the world. Among the first facilities to be opened will be The Dunes golf course, the Sheraton Hotel and the Four Points by Sheraton hotel with a total of 650 keys. The Sunbury coastal residential compounds will be available for sale and renting starting September 2010.
Having received investment by CITIC Pacific, the Shenzhou Peninsula resort occupies some 18 square kilometers and features a comprehensive paradise resort with unique and beautiful natural scenic spots, including four amazing bays, natural beaches and the tranquil lake. The resort also boasts, luxury resort hotel, seaside residential villas, yacht dock and several beach clubs among many other world-class tourism and leisure facilities. Situated on eastern coastal highways, Shenzhou Peninsula prides itself on its well developed traffic system that enables travelers to take only 20 minutes to reach Sanya and only 40 minutes to reach Haikou along the “One Hour Golden Resort Circle.” However, the high-speed railway lines in the eastern part of Hainan will not open until the end of 2010. It will include a station for Shenzhou Peninsula.
Preeminent golf course designer Tom Weiskopf designed Shenzhou Peninsula’s The Dunes golf course.
