Free High-Speed Internet Goes Global for Gold & Platinum Members
Effective January 7, 2011, Marriott Rewards will expand free high-speed internet access worldwide as a benefit for Gold and Platinum Elite members who stay at all JW Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Renaissance Hotels and The Autograph Collection. Last May, Marriott Rewards began offering Gold and Platinum Elite members free high-speed internet access at hotels throughout North and South America.
Marriott Rewards members reach Gold Elite status by staying 50 nights a year and Platinum Elite status by staying 75 nights a year. Elite members receive a number of benefits depending on their level, including bonus points, elite-only offers, room upgrades, club lounge access, 48-hour availability and an exclusive guest services and reservation line.
Marriott Rewards is Marriott International's award-winning guest loyalty program. It is free to join. Members can earn Marriott Rewards points or airline miles at over 3,300 hotels worldwide at nine brands. Marriott Rewards points can be redeemed for hotel stays, airline miles, rental cars, cruises, merchandise and much more. Marriott Rewards won the 2009 and 2008 Freddie Award for "Best Hotel Rewards program," and was named "Best Frequent Guest Loyalty Program" by the readers of Executive Travel magazine.
