The discerning readers of Britain’s Condé Nast Traveller magazine again voted Crystal Cruises their “Favourite Cruise Line: Large Ship.” Crystal Cruises also received the highest scores for “facilities/activities” and “value for money.” The award marks the second time the ultra-luxury line has won in three years. The publication’s 12th annual Readers’ Travel Awards were announced in London this week and will be published in the October 2010 issue.

“I’m thrilled that all the efforts of the Crystal Cruises staff, both onboard and shoreside, have been publicly recognized once again by the readers of Condé Nast Traveller,” says Philip Ordever, Crystal’s UK-based vice president of international sales and marketing. “This is a fantastic achievement for Crystal Cruises and one which would not have been possible without the hard work of our team in the UK and the loyal support of all our travel agent partners.”

Condé Nast Traveller subscribers were asked to rate cruise ships on a 100-point scale. Scores are percentages based on votes from the readers in 12 categories, which include service/staff, pre-/post-cruise facilities, environmental friendliness, ambience/décor, nightlife/entertainment, facilities and activities, and standard/comfort of cabins, among others.

Sailing on worldwide itineraries of seven- to 100+ days, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity are consistently distinguished as the highest rated ships in the world. This recognition from UK travelers closely follows the announcement of the line’s record 15th consecutive win as the ‘World’s Best Large-Ship Cruise Line’ by the readers of U.S.-based Travel + Leisure, and Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity being voted the ‘Best Large Ships in the World’ by Condé Nast Traveler’s U.S. readers.

As an innovator in the luxury travel realm, Crystal continues to offer its guests sophisticated options, including its recently announced Priority Check-in and Planning Center, streamlining the pre-cruise process, and Perfect Choice Dining™ with Open Dining by Reservation™ – a complement to the line’s classic main and late seating options.
