The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club’s championship golf course has reopened, better than ever. The course was closed July 12-September 2, 2010 so that it could undergo enhancements, and it now boasts new grass on 12 of the greens, and on all 18 tee boxes. In addition, there are new bridges over some of the course’s water features, according to Head Golf Pro George Willard. The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is Southwest Florida’s only beachfront resort to feature an on-site championship golf course, world-class spa, and award-winning tennis center.

Built in 1927, the resort’s championship par 72 layout is Naples’ original golf course. Updated over the years – first by Mark Mahanna in 1948, then by famed golf course architect Ron Garl in 1980, 1993 and 1998 – the course was renovated to enhance the qualities that have always made it so popular, according to Willard.

“Our course is one of the unique features that really sets our resort apart from others,” said Willard. “Not only have we played host to amateur and professional events, we’ve also been named the ‘Best Public Course in Southwest Florida’ – no small feat considering our competition. The renovations we’ve made to our tees and greens were designed to enhance play while maintaining the originality that’s been our trademark for decades.”

Measuring 6,448 yards from the blue tees, the resort’s legendary 18-hole, par-72 course is designed for both enjoyment and challenge. The course’s pristine natural setting provides golfers with an incredible sense of serenity. A favorite since it opened, Naples’ original championship course is home to the Florida State Senior Men’s Open Championship, Florida State Senior Women’s Golf Association Championship, and Future Collegiate World Tour, among other events.

A great way to experience the new golf course is by taking advantage of the surprisingly affordable “Fall Value Rates” at the resort, which is Southwest Florida’s only beachfront resort to feature an on-site championship golf course, world-class spa, and award-winning tennis center.

The special “Fall Value Rates” start at just $119 per room, per night Sunday-Thursday, or from $139 per room, per night Friday and Saturday -- with no hidden costs or resort fees. In addition to accommodations in a newly renovated guest room, the “Fall Value Rates” include: complimentary use of the resort’s fitness center; complimentary valet and self parking; afternoon tea and cookies at 4 p.m. daily; and complimentary admission for children ages five to 12 in the morning activities of the Beach Klub 4 Kids supervised child activity program. The special rate is available through December 23, 2010, based on availability. Some restrictions may apply.

Additionally, guests staying three nights at the resort with this special offer receive the fourth night free.

The value of the offer is quite impressive, as the resort’s standard room rates in the fall start at $235 per night, and in the winter start at $325 per night.

Making it even more appealing is the resort’s beautiful setting on the pristine white-sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, its all-new $5 million beachfront pool complex with two new pools (which just opened in February 2010), and its ideal location just blocks from Naples’ renowned shopping and dining districts of fashionable 5th Avenue and historic 3rd Street South.

For reservations, or for more information, call 1-800-237-7600 or 239-261-2222, or visit www.NaplesBeachHotel.com .

“Fall is a great time to visit Naples for a relaxing getaway,” said Jason Parsons, general manager of the family-owned resort. “The weather is great, and it is just beautiful here. So whether you wish to relax on the beach, lounge by our two beautiful new pools, golf on the newly renovated golf course, visit The Spa, or shop at Naples’ famous shopping districts, you just can’t beat the offerings or incredible setting of The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. The ‘Fall Value Rates’ simply provide even more incentive to take that getaway you’ve wanted to do.”

Taking advantage of the rate will provide the opportunity to stay in one of the beautiful rooms, which now feature new bedding and fabrics, flat-panel televisions, completely remodeled bathrooms, new carpet, and accents in calming tropical shades. It also will enable you to experience Naples’ beach, named “America’s Best All-Around Beach” by the Travel Channel.

You also can enjoy the award-winning Mary C. Watkins Tennis Center with six Har-Tru courts; seven miles of white-sand beach; the all-new $5 million beachfront pool complex with two new pools and two new whirlpools (which opened in February 2010); and the world-class Spa, which offers an array of massage services, body treatments, and skincare services. The resort also features the fitness center; Beach Klub 4 Kids; a salon; and an Orchid House, home to over 3,000 tropical plants.

Dining options include HB’s on the Gulf, the city of Naples’ only beachfront restaurant, featuring fresh regional seafood and stunning sunset views. Another “must do” is to experience the resort’s popular Sunset Beach Bar, recognized as the “Best Place To Catch A Southwest Florida Sunset,” and named “Naples’ Best Beach Bar” by the Travel Channel.

The newly remodeled guest rooms and suites feature furnished balconies or patios overlooking the Gulf, the lush grounds, or scenic golf course. Standard amenities include a new flat-panel television, in-room refrigerator, two telephones with voicemail, modem access, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, in-room safe, in-room coffee, climate control, and security keycards. High-speed wireless Internet access is also available.

Owned and operated by the Watkins family for over 60 years, the resort has a rich history in Southwest Florida. Providing a comfortable, friendly atmosphere with impeccable service and first-class amenities, the resort is an exceptional tropical getaway.
