Travelers eager to experience Australia and New Zealand in Celebrity style can make their plans now, as bookings opened today for Celebrity Cruises’ new lineup of exotic voyages in the land Down Under, complete with special offers available for a limited time.

Celebrity also has introduced a new slate of Cruisetours in Australia, packaging the cruise experience with a land tour, allowing vacationers to even more fully immerse themselves in the region’s natural beauty and rich culture.

10 distinct itineraries; six varied departure ports; limited-time special offers

Marking the line’s first return to the region in two years, Celebrity’s new Australia and New Zealand season on Celebrity Century in 2011 – bookended by a series of vacation options in Hawaii – features a total of 36 ports in six countries: Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, French Polynesia, the U.S. and Mexico. The lineup includes 10 distinct itineraries with six varied departure ports, including Sydney and Perth (Fremantle), Australia; Auckland, New Zealand; Honolulu, Hawaii; San Diego, California, and Ensenada, Mexico. Among the ports Celebrity will visit for the first time are Geraldton, Broome, Darwin, Cairns, Brisbane, Adelaide, Albany, Bunbury and Perth, Australia, in addition to Burnie, Tasmania, and Bali.

Celebrity is offering limited-time special savings for guests booking back-to-back sailings, and an onboard credit on new reservations made between July 29 to December 31, 2010. Cruisers are invited to call their travel agent, visit the Celebrity web site at www.celebritycruises.com, or call 1-800-437-3111 to learn more.

New four- and five-night Cruisetours

Celebrity’s new Australia Cruisetours pair Celebrity Century’s sailings with a land-based vacation experience either before or after the voyage. Guests can select from among four packages ranging from four to five nights in length, featuring some of the region’s most extraordinary locations not visited on the cruise journey, including the marine wonderland of the Great Barrier Reef and the giant red monolith known as Ayers Rock.

Celebrity’s new five-night, pre- or post-cruise land tours in Australia include two full days and nights to explore some of Sydney’s most captivating, natural attractions, and a rare overnight stay at Ayers Rock. There, they’ll experience a private sightseeing tour in the desert, featuring the “Olgas,” a series of massive, brightly colored domed rocks rising from the plains, and the mystical “Sounds of Silence” private dining experience, with champagne, a native barbecue dinner, and an astronomer’s presentation of the southern night skies. The land tour also includes a visit to the picturesque seaside village of Port Douglas, with a full day at the famed Great Barrier Reef, renowned for its clear waters, abundant marine life and spectacular coral formations.

In addition, Celebrity offers a four-night post-cruise and five-night pre-cruise land tour in conjunction with the line’s new sailings circumnavigating Australia to and from Perth. Both tours feature Ayers Rock, while the post-cruise packages also feature an overnight in Perth and the pre-cruise package includes Port Douglas.

Every Celebrity Cruisetour is fully escorted by highly knowledgeable tour directors, and includes upscale, conveniently located hotel accommodations; all transportation, including transfers to and from the ship and airport; flights between destinations, featured activities and some meals. Ample time has been incorporated to also allow guests to independently shop, dine, sightsee or relax.
