Mel Wilinsky, chief financial officer for Outrigger Enterprises Group, is pleased to announce the promotion of Ms. Joel Pearlman as Controller - Condominium Division. In her new position, she is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company’s condominium collection division on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island.
Ms. Pearlman joined Outrigger in 1998 as an Assistant Controller. Throughout the years she has worked as a supervisor in both the accounts receivable and general accounting areas. She has also worked at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, handled the accounting for Outrigger’s Retail Leasing department, and most recently worked in the Treasury area as a Manager, overseeing various aspects of the Outrigger Investment Fund.
In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities, she has also accomplished a variety of special projects, including working with the IT department and all hotel controllers to complete a required credit card processing upgrade to maintain PCI compliance certification.
Prior to joining Outrigger, Ms. Pearlman worked in public accounting for Price Waterhouse. She has also worked at the Pacific Beach Hotel and the Waikiki Parc Hotel. A proud alumnae of Kamehameha Schools, Ms. Pearlman is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in the State of Hawai‘i, and has a Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Hawai‘i-Mānoa.
