A “Princess” Joins Associated Luxury Hotels’ Membership

. . . Acclaimed Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Augments ALHI’s “Level 5” Five-Diamond Gems & Larger Program Offerings

Arizona’s acclaimed AAA Five-Diamond Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has been accepted as the newest member of Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI). ALHI now provides authorized National Sales services and support for the resort to corporations, associations, independent planners, and incentive and product launch specialists desiring to conduct meetings, incentive programs, conventions, and exhibitions at the property.

In addition to becoming the newest offering within ALHI’s impressive portfolio consisting of more than 125 Four- and Five-Diamond quality resorts and hotels worldwide (offering more than 100,000 rooms and over 10 million square feet of meeting space), Fairmont Scottsdale Princess becomes the newest Arizona offering, and the 17th “ALHI Level 5 Collection” member. The specialty segment consists of ALHI’s member hotels and resorts which have earned the highest and most distinctive recognitions including the prestigious AAA Five-Diamond rating, and/or the esteemed Forbes (Mobil) Five-Star rating, along with ALHI’s newly-opened hotels designed to achieve one of these ratings when they become eligible.

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess also becomes ALHI’s 27th member resort or hotel which features at least 500 guest rooms and suites, and a minimum of 50,000 square feet of meeting space.

Detailed information about the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and ALHI’s distinguished portfolio is available at www.alhi.com. Specialty segments of the portfolio are easily accessible for quick reference, along with members’ meeting and facilities briefs, a photo gallery, meeting floor plans and specs, a location map, and more for each ALHI property.

The world-class Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is the “Princess” among the dynamic and picturesque Scottsdale, Arizona marketplace, with a truly scenic setting consisting of the majestic McDowell Mountains, sun-washed stone and bright green cottonwoods. Offerings at the resort, which pays tribute to Arizona’s Spanish Colonial heritage, include 651 richly appointed guest rooms and suites, and 61,000 square feet of meeting space that includes an elegant 22,500-square-foot grand ballroom. The resort also features two 18-hole championship golf courses (one of which is home to an annual PGA Tour event), as well as the 44,000-square-foot Willow Stream Spa (ranked one of the best spas in North America by Condé Nast Traveler), a fully-equipped fitness center, five swimming pools, seven tennis courts, and multiple award-winning restaurants. The resort is located less than 30 minutes from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

“The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is a truly outstanding ‘gem’ in the desert and in ALHI’s worldwide portfolio,” said David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI. “The Five-Diamond resort has become extremely popular – deservedly so -- for its incredible Scottsdale in-town-resort setting, state-of-the-art meeting facilities, exceptional banqueting and event credentials, excellent resort and recreational offerings, and for its reliable first-class service standards. Plus, you just can’t beat the Margaritas as you take in breathtaking Arizona sunsets.”

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess becomes ALHI’s fifth Arizona member, joining the exquisite Royal Palms Resort & Spa, featuring the rustic splendor of a Mediterranean villa, and offering 119 beautifully appointed guest rooms, 20,000 square feet of meeting space, and the Four-Star Alvadora Spa; the new InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa, which boasts 293 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, 26,894 square feet of meeting space, and a two-story 31,000-square-foot destination spa; Phoenix’s all-suite Arizona Grand Resort, which just completed an impressive $52 million resort enhancement, and features 117,000 square feet of elegant indoor and outdoor meeting facilities; and Tucson’s award-winning Loews Ventana Canyon, featuring 398 newly renovated guest rooms, two Tom Fazio-designed golf courses, a world-class spa, and 37,000 square feet of meeting space.
