Michelle Ford, general manager of Fusion Maia Da Nang Resort announced its opening date on 15 August 2010.

Fusion Maia Da Nang is a unique and exciting fusion of resort and spa; where spa treatments are inclusive and a part of daily living in this beach resort. The resort is set on the infamous ‘My Khe Beach’, only 10 minutes from Da Nang centre, 20 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes to explore the eclectic old town of Hoi An.

The resort offers 87 pool suites, spa villas and beach villas each with modern, open-plan living areas and private courtyards with swimming pools. Each of the 80-Pool suites has a total area of 96-106 sqm, 4-Spa villas each have a total area of 212 sqm, 1-Deluxe two bedroom beach villa and 2-Grand three bedroom beach villas, both these villas have a total area of 403 sqm. Facilities include double vanity, bathtub, shower, air-conditioning, television, IDD telephone, mini bar, safety box, hairdryer, coffee machine, iPod, DVD player (except pool suites) and free wireless internet.

All inclusive ‘Maia Spa’ facilities set in tropical gardens with swimming pool, an ideal place to unwind before or after a therapeutic treatment. Enjoy an array of massages in one of our 16 treatment rooms with custom-blended fragrance, natural body treatments or beauty treatments with renowned natural and organic product houses. All treatments will be given by skilled therapists trained by international, in-house spa trainers. Other facilities at the Maia Spa include beauty salon, steam rooms, sauna, private Jacuzzis, spa library and spa boutique. Guests can also explore new experiences in our introductory sessions to fitness, meditation, yoga and tai chi.

The resort’s signature restaurant is ‘Five’, using the 5 senses to entice diners with fresh and flavourful choices, presented with a modern flair and incorporating local ingredients in a tapestry of Pan-Asian flavours. Guests can enjoy their breakfast, lunch or dinner in this contemporary dining room which has both indoor and outdoor seating. ‘Fresh’ is the poolside dining area with a modern Italian influence where guests can enjoy fresh salads, antipasti or designer flatbreads in an open-air venue. The ‘Tonic’ lobby bar serves a creative selection of exotic juices, stylish martini’s and enticing Asian tapas; the perfect pre-or post-dinner meeting place or a relaxing place to have coffee with the newspaper or the signature Asian Afternoon High Tea.

The 162sqm function room for private functions seats 80 – 100 persons depending on setup and style. Another option is the private dining room, seating 10-14 persons for informal meeting or private dinner party.
