Name Change Announced for Dakota Mountain Lodge in Park City, Utah

Hilton Worldwide today announced that Dakota Mountain Lodge & Golden Door Spa has changed its name to Waldorf Astoria Park City. The re-branding of the hotel in the mountain town of Park City, Utah, will take place over the next 60 days.

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts includes more than 20 landmark destinations around the globe, each with its own story and identity and each inspired by the level of service that defined the legendary Waldorf-Astoria New York.

"Waldorf Astoria Park City is our vision of the perfect Park City experience, as distinctive and timeless as our other extraordinary destinations," said John T.A. Vanderslice, Global Head of Luxury and Lifestyle Brands for Hilton Worldwide. "This intimate hotel offers the unparalleled service and quality found at all of our Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts."

Waldorf Astoria Park City is located at the base of The Canyons Ski Resort and offers an ideal setting for a luxury mountain vacation. The hotel, owned by Talisker Corporation, has been managed by Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts since its opening in July 2009. It offers 175 guest rooms and residences appointed with custom furnishings, suites with top-of-the-line kitchens and spectacular views of the ski slopes and picturesque Wasatch Mountains. Integral to the guest experience at Waldorf Astoria Park City is its 16,000-square-foot Golden Door Spa and award-winning Spruce Restaurant. The property was recognized by Parents Magazine as one of the "10 Best Snow Resorts" in 2009.

"The name Waldorf Astoria Park City truly embodies the world-class service and unique amenities offered at our hotel," said Steven Lindburg, General Manager of Waldorf Astoria Park City. "With our exceptional property team remaining in place, we are delighted to unveil our new name and continue the high level of service our guests have come to expect."

Golden Door Spa at Waldorf Astoria Park City is the sixth location for the renowned spa brand, which was founded in 1959 by fitness visionary Deborah Szekely. The spa is dedicated to fostering a balance of mind, body and spirit through a personalized program that draws on ancient Asian influences, environmental inspiration and classic European spa techniques. Golden Door Spa Park City was featured as one of Shape Magazine's "Best New Spas" in 2009.

Waldorf Astoria Park City also offers the first outpost of the award-winning Spruce restaurant of San Francisco, which was named one of Esquire's "Best New Restaurants" of 2008. Featuring the same convivial sophistication as the flagship location, the restaurant combines gracious top-tier service, an exceptional wine program and Executive Chef Mark Sullivan's acclaimed contemporary American cuisine, which utilizes the finest in local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant has 160 seats with indoor and seasonal outdoor seating, private dining areas and a lounge.

In the spring and summer months, guests at Waldorf Astoria Park City can enjoy music, arts and food festivals as well as outdoor adventures ranging from hiking and mountain biking to golf and fly fishing.
