Benchmark Hospitality International has named Jacqueline Humes controller for Marenas Resort, the luxurious ocean-front property situated on a barrier island in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, just north of Miami. Roy Young, acting managing director, made the announcement.
“I am so pleased to welcome Jacqueline to Marenas Resort,” said Mr. Young. “She brings a decade of experience in hospitality financial accounting to her new role, as well as significant knowledge of the Florida market.”
Previous to joining Marenas Resort, Jacqueline Humes was controller for the real estate division of Gulf Bay Group of Companies, located in Naples, Florida. She has served in the same professional capacity for the firm’s hospitality division. Ms. Humes originally joined the company as assistant controller. Earlier in her career, Jackie Humes was employed by WCI Communities as accounting manager.
Jacqueline Humes received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, and her Master of Business Administration degree from Florida Golf Coast University of Ft. Myers. She is accredited as a Community Association Manager, Certified Hospitality Account Executive, and Certified Hospitality Technology Professional. Ms. Humes has relocated to Miami.
