Join Rising Young Talent from Moscow’s prestigious Bolshoi Theatre as proceeds benefit The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation
Guests and residents of Dubai are invited to Atlantis, The Palm to celebrate the young talent of two rising opera stars from the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Russia. On 7 and 8 April, guests will be amazed by the operatic music of Alexandra Kadurina and Boris Rudak.
The glamorous black-tie evening will begin with a reception of canapés and cocktails. Moving arias will be presented from world-famous operas including the works of Rossini, Pergolesi, Gluck, Mozart, Saint-Saens and Verdi. Favourites such as “Le Nozze di Figaro” and “La Traviata” will be presented. The magical night continues with a dessert intermission.
Classic Gala Collection Project supports young musicians from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). As music plays a very important role within the culture of the former Soviet Union, Classic Gala Collection Project gives these young musicians the opportunity to nurture and grow their talents while delighting audiences.
Alexandra Kadurina is a 26 year old mezzo soprano began with the Bolshoi Theatre in 2009 and is currently a student at the Ukrainian Music Academy. The singer has very complex of vocal qualities, appearances and professional skills. She will be singing the famous aria “Che faro senza Euridice” by Christoph Willibald Gluck from “Orfeo ad Euridice”, technically very difficult and rarely performed today. Boris Rudak also began with the Bolshoi Theatre last year. The 26 year old tenor is currently studying at Saint-Petersburg Conservatoire. Rudak will be presenting the wonderful arias of Flotow, Tosti, Cilea, Massenet, and Capua. Both singers were awarded the “New Opera Voices” by the Bolshoi Theatre. Alexandra and Boris will be accompanied by Tatyana Kukhtik, a professor at the National Musical Academy of Ukraine. She has written more 130 pieces for the piano and over 1400 vocal pieces.
Bolshoi Theatre is the national theatre of Russia, the quintessence of the Russian musical tradition and the international center of the music culture. Its goal is to place the classical heritage into the context of changing cultural demand of the Russian society, and to advance and develop the music theatre in Russia.
Tickets are available for AED690 per person for 7 and 8 April and can be purchased from the Grand Lobby at Atlantis, The Palm. Tickets include the reception and dessert intermission. Complimentary valet parking is available at the Atlantis Conference Centre Entrance. Proceeds from this event will benefit The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation. The foundation provides humanitarian relief to catastrophe-stricken areas and assists UAE projects. This evening is brought to the United Arab Emirates with support from Valtrans and Dalacfes.
