Carefully Curated Selection Offers One-of-a-Kind Luxury Goods

Wynn LVNV, the residential design store at Wynn Las Vegas, has been reinvented and will launch its new concept on March 11, 2010. Wynn LVNV offers the unique opportunity for guests and visitors to appreciate and acquire the style of Wynn.

"Today, residential design is looking at hotels to be the leaders in residential style," says Roger Thomas, executive vice president of design for Wynn Design and Development. "I'm delighted that happened. It gives our guests a chance to test drive the style before they take it home as an enhancement to their own lifestyle and as a memory of their magical time at Wynn."

Thomas curates the selection of objets d'art and luxury home goods with his unique perspective on the world market, unusual sources in the retail world and often humorous approach to interiors. He travels the world selecting pieces for the store, including one-of-a-kind items from the Maison et Objet, the largest decorative show in Europe, which features European manufacturers rarely found in the U.S.

"I don't think luxury is selection," says Thomas. "I think luxury is having the very finest in the world already selected for you."

The Wynn LVNV collection is displayed in a classic interior created by Naomi Leff that has been re-colored and refit by Thomas. The space resembles a home more than a retail space, with each room presenting items shown in vignette collections as they would appear in a beautiful home.

The foyer gallery will be a center for trunk shows and exhibitions for artists and artisans in the decorative arts, with each month featuring a new artist. Directly behind the foyer is the casual living room, displaying things for the casual lifestyle, as well as indoor/outdoor items on the garden porch. Natural materials, rustic artifacts, handmade and exotic crafts are all found in the casual living room, and range from the intimate to the heroic in scale. Shoppers can also select from Wynn's signature cabana and pool furnishings.

Left of the foyer is the Wynn guest room, where the Wynn sleep and bath experiences can be acquired. These reflect years of research and development in the design of the mattress, pillows, duvets and sheets, all designed by the best in the world exclusively for Wynn Resorts. Wynn LVNV will offer both resort linens and Villa linens.

"If you want to sleep like a high roller, here's your chance," says Thomas.

A corner of the guest room is reserved for the youngest Wynn guest, with things for baby, including beautiful layette linens and clothing items for toddlers.

The dining room to the right of the foyer is meant to show items to set a dramatic and memorable table for entertaining. Both functional items and sculptural and decorative items will be found here, as well as specialty dining chairs and other accessories. Even the chandelier and dining table are for sale!

Step past the dining room into the formal living room for a selection of furnishings found at Wynn Las Vegas and from the Roger Thomas Collection of home furnishings--retailing exclusively at Wynn and Encore.
