"The Bachelor" has never had to make his final decision in a more spectacularly romantic environment than this season's. The incredibly popular show was filmed in Saint Lucia, known as one of the most panoramic of all Caribbean islands and a favorite among honeymooners.
Airing on March 1, this season's finale of "The Bachelor" takes place on the Celestial Terrace of the iconic Jade Mountain Resort.
Located in the southwest of the island near Soufriere, Jade Mountain is Saint Lucia's most unique resort, affording the most stunning views of the famous Piton Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Named "Top Resort in the Caribbean" by Travel & Leisure readers and "Most Excellent Romantic Hideaway" in the Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific by Conde Nast Johansens, Jade Mountain soars both literally and metaphorically above the ordinary. The resort rises majestically above the 600-acre beachfront estate of Anse Chastanet, its sister resort property.
Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy has fulfilled his philosophy of building in harmony with Caribbean nature in his creation of Jade Mountain.
The bold architectural design - individual bridges leading to tranquil infinity pool sanctuaries with rugged stoned-faced columns reaching towards the sky - makes Jade Mountain one of the world's most soothing yet stimulating resort experiences.
The 29 sanctuaries are grand sweeping spaces, where bedroom, living and a breathtaking private infinity pool form extraordinary platforms floating out into nature. With the fourth wall entirely absent, Jade Mountain's sanctuaries are stage-like settings from which to embrace the full glory of Saint Lucia's Pitons and the shimmering Caribbean Sea - a view no one ever forgets, not even the Bachelor!
Wrapped around an infinity pool with a dazzling kaleidoscope of colors, the Jade Mountain Club restaurant caters exclusively to resident guests, celebrating James Beard Award-winning Chef Allen Susser's "Jade Cuisine."
Hovering in space above the Jade Mountain Club is the Celestial Terrace, perfect for sunset cocktails or star-gazing, or perhaps a proposal?
Romance is in the air with any reservation at Jade Mountain. Visit the resort's website www.jademountainstlucia.com for comprehensive rate and package information.
Jade Mountain can also help to create a unique stage setting for a proposal.
Whether a private dinner at the water's edge or on the Celestial Terrace, perhaps with a surprise appearance by a local guitarist, or to surprise the other half with a couples spa treatment, they can arrange it.
Rates at Jade Mountain start at US $1,250 this Spring in a star infinity pool sanctuary. (Rates are subject to 18% service charge and government tax)
A 5th night free promotion is currently available and can be combined with Jade Mountain's special Bachelor-inspired "Red Rose Romance" promotion, offering guests staying for a minimum of five nights a red rose-inspired flower bouquet on arrival, complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a couples massage right in the privacy of the infinity pool sanctuary.
"The Bachelor" airs Mondays at 8/7 Central on ABC. It is a prime time reality series, where Jake, the Bachelor, seeks true love. He embarks on a romantic journey, getting to know a bevy of beautiful bachelorettes and gradually narrowing the field to the one woman to whom he may propose marriage in the dramatic season finale.
Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television.
