The Power of Pink
Fragrant peonies; cotton candy; long-legged flamingos - the colour pink never fails to bring bright, cheery images to mind. In tropical Palm Beach, the pretty hue is everywhere you look, from the stucco houses to the floral prints worn by ladies who lunch.
Now, the colour is taking over Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. But before you start planning a decorating intervention, read on!
Starting February 13, the Resort is partnering with a local art gallery to present "Think Pink." The portion of the exhibit at Four Seasons highlights the work of 23 contemporary artists including Takashi Murakami, Will Ryman and Rob Wynne. It examines how the colour pink has significance in their work, ranging from photography to mixed media and sculpture. Visit the show on "Think Pink Tuesdays" and you'll get a walk-through and discussion of the show with either curator Beth Rudin DeWoody, gallery owner Sarah Gavlak or one of the featured artists. Of course, no special event would be complete without a sip of Pink Ladies and Cosmopolitans.
Inspired by the art of pink, Four Seasons Spa has created two new sweet treatments. The Pink Body Bliss is a 50-minute massage using organic pink sea salt and pink grapefruit essential oils, while the Pretty in Pink mani-pedi treats guests to a hand and foot massage with pink grapefruit oil and an application of - what else? - pink polish.
The show runs until March 16 and partial proceeds will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, so get ready to "Think Pink" at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach today.
