The greatest number of candidates in the history of this event will soon vie for the coveted title in this 13th edition of the World's Best Sommelier competition, held for the first time ever in South America. An impressive female contingent will participate in the trials, combined with a noteworthy turnout from the Asia-Pacific region.
The international renown of the event's faithful partner, Moet & Chandon, strengthens the prestige and allure of what has now become a cornerstone for wine experts everywhere. The week-long event concludes with a spectacular gala dinner during which the World's Best Sommelier title will be awarded for a three year period to the new champion by the previous winner, Andreas Larsson. The Moet & Chandon trophy, a silver Mathusalem engraved with all the winners' names, will bear witness to the victory, linking the elite list of masters forever.
Together with the ASI (Association de Sommellerie Internationale), Moet & Chandon would like to wish the very best of luck to all the candidates, who we are looking forward to welcoming this year in Santiago, Chile.
