The Omni Chicago Hotel, The Omni La Mansion del Rio and The Watermark Hotel & Spa Honored

Three Omni Hotels have been named to the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler Gold List of World's Best Places to Stay, featured in the January 2010 issue of the revered travel magazine and online at www.concierge.com/tools/travelawards/goldlist/2010.

The Magnificent Mile gem, the Omni Chicago Hotel, is "close to wonderful shopping, food and entertainment." It is the only property on Michigan Avenue to feature all-suite luxury accommodations, with French doors that lead to "the best bedrooms in downtown." In January 2009, the hotel was also included in Conde Nast Traveler's Gold List of World's Best Places to Stay.

The enchanting Omni La Mansion del Rio in San Antonio blends Spanish colonial architecture and European style which "shines like a Spanish parador at night" with the romance, grace and charm of a grand hacienda. This luxury retreat on the River Walk "feels like a historic hotel filled with wonderful stories." Along with its celebrated Las Canarias restaurant, the hotel is recommended by the most discriminating travelers.

The Watermark Hotel & Spa, also in San Antonio, was highlighted for its rooms decorated with "hand-cut metal artifacts that are elegantly appointed," and location on the River Walk. Hand-forged iron beds, historic photographs and dark furniture create a welcoming atmosphere. Fresh seafood is flown in daily for Pesca on the River, with dining inside or out, and guests can order one of 100 different tequilas.

"We are very proud that these properties were named to the Conde Nast Traveler Gold List," said Mike Deitemeyer, president of Omni Hotels. "It is rewarding to see that today's travelers, whether for business or pleasure, appreciate our focus on personalized service, unique culinary offerings and first-in-class accommodations designed in keeping with the flavor of the destination.

The 16th annual Conde Nast Traveler Gold List is the ultimate annotated guide to the world's best places to stay, as voted by more than 25,000 Conde Nast Traveler readers. According to the publication, the Gold List of hotels is based on service, food, rooms, design, location and activities.
