* Spa treatments in harmony with nature
* Innovative wellness experience with “holistic cocooning”
* Private spa suites – spa pleasures for couples and pairs

The Royal Spa Kitzbühel Hotel, which opened in December as the region’s only Leading Hotel, astounds with its Mountain Health Spa – a 3,600 m² oasis of wellness where the treatment sequence is determined by the rhythm of nature. The 5-star luxury hotel also offers innovative treatments such as a Hildegard von Bingen steam bath and “holistic cocooning” in addition to the traditional spa treatments, as well as private spa suites providing a special sense of exclusivity and seclusion.

The Mountain Health Spa is the heart and soul of the hotel, dedicated to a holistic natural experience and to natural elements. Inspired by the healing power of nature, the meditative effect of the mountains, and the energy of water and fire, the Mountain Health Spa offers a wide range of incomparable wellness services.

The healing power of nature

The Hildegard von Bingen steam bath – specially designed for the Mountain Health Spa and the only of its kind in Austria – combines the positive effects of crystals with those of herbs and steam by applying finely ground crystals to the skin in the form of a whole-body crystal or herbal pack. In the serail bath, the beneficial effects of healing mud can be enjoyed in special heat treatment rooms.

The Aquaveda treatment is a wonderful aquatic therapy which stimulates the meridians using fine jets of water to release energy blockages. A number of other treatments such as the soap brush massage, Ayurvedic forehead oil flow (Shirodhara) or hot stone massages also form part of the repertoire of treatments offered on the Aquaveda bed.

Holistic cocooning is a unique experience involving gentle and relaxing regeneration via the rhythm of the breath. The specially attuned ambient sound, colours and aroma effects address the senses of sight, sound, smell and touch for a truly sensual treat.

The meditative effect of the mountains

The salt stone sauna – with backlit salmon pink salt stone walls from the Himalayas – promises a play of colours. The brine therapy area also includes a brine pool that makes use of the healing powers of salt.

Well-tempered oils produced from ancient oil shale are used in the Tyrolean mineral oil bath. Guests can further immerse themselves in Tyrolean originality with a traditional Tyrolean bath using Speick soap. The soap is made from rhizome extracts of the Speick plant – a typical Tyrolean variety – and has a calming and harmonising effect.

Energy through water and fire

The lava sauna offers not just fiery temperatures, as the name suggests, but also recreates a lava stream flowing through it. Afterwards, the invigorating ice shower and adjoining ice fog corridor are the perfect place to cool off.

Moments of relaxation and well-being

The generously sized 3,600 square metre spa area features an indoor adventure pool and a 20 metre outdoor sports pool. The various quiet and relaxation areas include a fireplace meditation room, an aroma experience room and a designer 4-senses lounge.
Spa pleasures for two

The guests’ physical well-being is not the only priority of the new luxury hotel. The Royal Spa Kitzbühel also places special emphasis on exclusivity and seclusion in the Mountain Health Spa’s private spa suites. In the Crystal Spa Suite, Pearl Spa Suite and Kitz Spa Suite, guests can enjoy individual treatments together or simply savour the experience of absolute rest and relaxation.
