A two-day international spa conference will follow hot on the heels of the professional travel market in Cannes, in December 2010.
The ‘International Luxury Spa Summit’ (9 – 10 December 2010) is dedicated to hoteliers and professionals in the wellbeing sector. Through keynote speeches, interactive debate and workshops, leading industry speakers will lead participants to effective business solutions.
The exhibition area for the summit will be designed like a huge spa and will showcase the world’s most contemporary and luxurious designs, services, cosmetic brands and specialist spa suppliers.
The summit concept was developed by Brand Vision, event organisers with more than nine years’ experience in the hotel and spa industry. Director, Bettina Fröhlich,
commented, “The International Luxury Spa Summit is a must for those wishing to ensure their spa remains a leader. For those embarking on a new spa project, the summit will provide all the tools required to design, create and manage a spa that is economically viable.
“The spa summit is the perfect business platform to stay abreast of the latest developments in the industry, to see the changes your competitors will be making and to discover innovative initiatives from Asia, the US and Europe.
“If ever it was the right time to stay ahead of your competitors or launch a new spa project – it is now. In this fast-moving, stressful world more and more men and women are using spas to relax and unwind. The spa is a growth industry and this conference will provide business solutions to make your dreams a reality. You will find all the elements that you need to succeed.”
The conference will be tailored to meet the needs of both hoteliers and cosmetic brands. Pre-scheduled one-to-one business meetings will enable delegates to meet, network and negotiate with service providers, specialised suppliers (including leading cosmetics brands) and fellow delegates.
There will be the opportunity to meet investors with a special interest in this sector. A ‘Speed Matching’ forum will introduce delegates to their ‘Spangels’ (spa business angels).
Most importantly, a charity evening award ceremony will be dedicated to CEW (the Cosmetic Executive Women Association) whose beauty centres carry out free beautycare treatments in hospitals and effectively demonstrate how a luxury industry can contribute to wellbeing. The glamorous red-carpet reception will announce the awardwinning spas and services of the summit and the ‘spalmes d’or’ will be presented by the President of an international jury of journalists.
