Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels today announced that it has re-positioned a number of key talent to new strategic roles that are best aligned to serve the long term interests of the firm’s clients. Arthur Adler, managing director and CEO-Americas, will assume a more direct role overseeing the full service investment sales team. Executive Vice Presidents John Strauss in Los Angeles, Gregory Rumpel in Miami and Jeff Davis in New York will report directly to Adler. Additionally, Adam McGaughy, an Executive Vice President in Chicago, will take on increased responsibility for the Midwest region.

Given the increasing needs for advisory and asset management service in today’s challenging market, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels is also strengthening its focus on client service in both arenas. Managing Directors Mark Fair and Bruce Stemerman, both reporting to Adler, will direct a renewed focus on leading the firm’s industry-leading select service transactions and strategic advisory & asset management divisions, respectively. To add additional client and operational support for future business growth, Clay Dickinson, an Executive Vice President in Atlanta, will now assume an increased responsibility for the firm’s U.S. strategic advisory business, reporting to Bruce Stemerman. Dickinson will now directly oversee Senior Vice Presidents Fernando Garcia-Chacon in Miami and Andrea Grigg in San Francisco, and Executive Vice President Ricardo Mader who leads the firm’s Brazil operations.

“Our senior team of investment sales, capital markets, and advisory & asset management professionals continue to be the best in the business in the Americas and globally. We are extremely well-positioned to assist our clients in dealing with the challenges and exploiting the opportunities that 2010 will bring,” said Arthur Adler, managing director and CEO-Americas of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels.
The firm’s strategic realignment coincides with former Managing Director Tom Fisher’s move to Pebblebrook Hotel Trust as chief investment officer.

Adler added, “It is a testament to the quality of our people and of the firm that Tom was tapped for a senior position with an investment firm. He has been an exceptional colleague and friend. His 14 years of service helped shape the business and the team we have today. This is a great opportunity for him, and we look forward to working with Tom in his new capacity.”
