French Hotel Group Secures Coveted Spots on Annual Travelers’ Lists
Continuing its reputation as a leading hotel group worldwide, French-based Sofitel Luxury Hotels has once again received top ratings on Condé Nast Traveler’s (CNT) venerable Gold List as well as Travel + Leisure’s (T+L) annual 500 World’s Best Hotels List. Of Sofitel’s worldwide portfolio, four properties were honored on CNT’s Gold List and an incredible eight properties ranked among T+L’s World’s Best.
Condé Nast readers lauded Sofitel’s international properties for the 2010 Gold List; selecting Sofitel Buenos Aires in Argentina and Sofitel Santa Clara in Cartagena, Colombia, among the top hotels in The Americas: Central and South America category. In the Asia, Australia & Pacific Nations category, Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort was mentioned amongst the best hotels in Cambodia. And in Vietnam, it was the iconic Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Sofitel’s first Legend property that was honored.
Among Travel + Leisure’s 500 World’s Best Hotels List, Sofitel Chicago Water Tower and Sofitel Philadelphia were praised in the domestic category. Amongst the hotels in South America, it was Sofitel Buenos Aires that was recognized by readers; and Sofitel Berlin Gendarmenmarkt ranked among the top hotels in Europe. Sofitel Palais Jamai in Fez, Morocco was honored as one of the best in Africa.
And finally, several Sofitel properties in Asia received recognition including Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort in Cambodia; Sofitel Shanghai Jin Jiang Oriental Pudong in China; and Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi in Vietnam. “Sofitel Luxury Hotels is honored to receive such high marks in the annual travelers’ lists, particularly because the lists are determined by our most prized audience – our guests,” said Robert Gaymer-Jones, COO Sofitel Luxury Hotels. “It is a testament to Sofitel’s continued commitment to providing discerning global travelers with excellent service, superior accommodations and luxurious amenities.”
