The Da Vinci Ode

There's just something about Leonardo. As an artist, musician, mathematician and scientist, among other things, he seems to capture our collective imagination like no one else in history. Just ask author Dan Brown, who wrote a little book about Da Vinci — maybe you've heard of it?

Speaking of Leo books, the Codex Atlanticus, a 12-volume set of his drawings and writings, is now on display at one of Milan's historic libraries. To commemorate this remarkable event, Four Seasons Hotel Milano is offering the exclusive "Discover Leonardo Tour."

Guests of the Hotel, a refurbished 15th-century convent, can get up close and personal with the ultimate Renaissance Man as they cruise Milan's streets in a private luxury car with a professional guide. Stops during the four-hour tour include:

* A private viewing of the Codex Atlanticus at the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana
* A tour of Castello Sforzesco, a castle containing Da Vinci's ceiling paintings and sculptures
* A visit to the Santa Maria delle Grazie church, famous for its 15 x 29-ft. Da Vinci mural, The Last Supper
* And finally, a peek at the Navigli canals that run throughout Milan's underground, including the area beneath Four Seasons, which were designed by the artist himself

You don't need a symbologist to de-code Da Vinci — visit Four Seasons Hotel Milano, and see Leonardo's secrets for yourself.
