Located just eight minutes away by private speedboat from Gan International Airport, Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa, Maldives offers guests travelling by private jet a stress-free arrival experience and two presidential villas for a comfortable and luxurious holiday escape.

After brief custom formalities at Gan International Airport – fully equipped to welcome international flights in an intimate setting – guests are whisked away to the resort by private speedboat, allowing them to enjoy the comfort of their preferred presidential villa within 30 minutes of landing.

The resort has two presidential villas, each with a different style. Measuring 957 square metres, Villa Laalu – which means “diamond” in the local Dhivehi language – is located on the eastern side of the island and offers views of the ocean. It features two large bedrooms with high ceilings, an extensive garden with infinity pool, a living room and alfresco dining pavilions that make it ideal for guests looking for a private family vacation. There is also a sauna, a gym, a study room as well as a spa pavilion set amidst the greenery for guests to enjoy a spa treatment in the privacy of the villa.

Villa Muthee – which means “pearl” in the local Dhivehi language – offers a different experience. Surrounded by seascapes, this 570 square metre presidential villa set over water is ideal for couples and honeymooners. It features an airy living room and bedroom with a self-contained entertainment pavilion fronted by a 16-metre long swimming pool. Villa Muthee guests can also rejuvenate with a spa treatment in their own spa pavilion.

To complete a perfect holiday experience, guests staying in one of the resort’s two presidential villas can enjoy exclusive benefits such as a dedicated villa host for personalised service, special welcome amenities and a personal buggy.
