Le Touessrok won its latest accolade on 24 November 2009 at The Leading Hotels of the World Annual Convention: Best Leading Commitment to Quality, Middle East & Africa. A success for the flagship of Sun Resorts which has been very committed to efficient Quality Management throughout the years and which has achieved among the highest Leading Quality Assurance scores during the period of July 2008 to June 2009.

The Leading Hotels of the World announced on 24 November 2009 the winners of a series of prestigious awards during its 2009 Annual Convention, held in Venice, Italy. During that evening, the winners of the Eighth Annual Commitment to Quality Awards were announced, with members in five regions: Europe; Middle East & Africa; Asia & Pacific; United States of America & Canada; and Mexico, The Caribbean & South America. The winners were those properties which achieved the highest Leading Quality Assurance scores during the period of July 2008 to June 2009.

The Commitment to Quality Award for Middle East & Africa region was given to Le Touessrok, followed by Maia Luxury Resort & Spa in Mahé, Seychelles.

“The reputation of excellence of The Leading Hotels of the World brand has derived from the exacting levels of quality it demands of its members, each of which must pass a rigorous, anonymous inspection covering hundreds of meticulous criteria spanning from product to behavioural standards. This set of standards is the most stringent in the industry,” says Armando Rodriguez, Regional Account manager, The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd.

For Pascal Brun, General Manager of Le Touessrok and Vice President Operations of Sun Resorts, such an award is “an honour given by a global leader in luxury hospitality and which places Le Touessrok once more on the same level as the world’s greatest and finest hotels.” Pascal Brun also added this: “I wish to thank all team members for their passion and commitment to quality which remains at the heart of hospitality business.”
