This weekend, Sofitel Amsterdam The Grand (Netherlands) hosted for the third consecutive year the gastronomic event Stars, Food & Art orchestrated by Lise Goeman Borgesius. With a total of 26 stars in the Michelin Guide, the 12 Chefs present for this festival worked together in the kitchen of the hotel’s Chef, Aurélien Poirot, so each of them could share his “signature” dish with the guests during two gala evenings. Hans Tuin, Sofitel Amsterdam The Grand’s sommelier, had selected the best wines so the alchemy of taste would be perfect.

The Grand Carousel of Senses
In addition to the two gala dinners, the first “Grand Carousel of Senses” was held from 12:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday 7 November. This interactive experience organized as part of the Stars, Food & Art event gave guests an opportunity to discover five different moods: audacious, extravagant, serene, nostalgic and sensual, thereby demonstrating that gastronomy and emotion are intrinsically interrelated. The Chefs were able to freely share with the guests and members of the press present their interpretation of these five moods.
The DJ Steef du Woodstock69 de Bloemendaal and the perfumes specialist, singer and actress Eva van Manen, lent their talents to put the finishing touches on this experience created around different moods.
