Gaylord Entertainment Announces Angela Mitcham Promoted to Vice President and Hotel Manager of Gaylord Texan

Gaylord Entertainment Co. (NYSE: GET) today announced that Angela Mitcham, director of leadership and training at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, has been promoted to vice president and hotel manager.
“Angela is the perfect choice for this position,” said John Caparella, chief operating officer and executive vice president of Gaylord Hotels. “Since joining the company more than two years ago, she has held several leadership positions and has excelled in all of them. I am excited that she will be in this key position at the Gaylord Texan.”
In her new post, Mitcham will report to John Imaizumi, senior vice president and general manager of the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center.
“Angela has had a tremendously positive impact on the success of the Gaylord Texan and particularly in the critical area of employee satisfaction,” said Imaizumi. “She has been an exceptional role model for all of our employees and has proven that she leads by example in living our Gaylord values of service, citizenship, integrity, respect, excellence, creativity and passion.”
Mitcham has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Gaylord, she worked for Summerfield Suites by Wyndham where she served as director of sales systems, regional general manager and regional director of sales. Her experience has been in management, operations, training, sales, and reservations.
