Gaylord Entertainment Co. (NYSE: GET) today announced that Kemp Gallineau, vice president and assistant general manager of Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn., has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Fla.

“Kemp has done an outstanding job at both the Gaylord Opryland and in managing our attractions businesses,” said Colin V. Reed, chairman and chief executive officer of Gaylord Entertainment. “We are confident that his proven success as a leader will solidify Gaylord Palms’ reputation as one of the finest convention hotels, renowned for its flawless service, world-class facilities and outstanding employees.”

In his new role, Gallineau will report to John Caparella, who was named chief operating officer and executive vice president of Gaylord Hotels in February. Caparella formerly served in the position that Gallineau will assume on March 20, 2006.

“I have enjoyed working by Kemp’s side for many years, watching him develop his exceptional style of leadership,” said Caparella. “Kemp was an integral leader of the Gaylord Palm’s opening, and that team’s infectious enthusiasm and passion for excellence can be traced directly to him.”

Gallineau joined Gaylord Entertainment in February 2001, as a member of the opening team for the Gaylord Palms, serving as vice president and hotel manager. Prior to joining Gaylord, Kemp served as director of the rooms division for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. Previously, he was director of process improvement with Westin Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. For seven years, he held a variety of positions with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, including rooms division manager, chief engineer, director of housekeeping services, director of guest services and telecommunications manager.
