Sign up for exclusive half day, full day or four day art workshops at Anantara Golden Triangle Resort & Spa for selected periods in December 2009 and January 2010, and discover a world of difference. Instructed by internationally acclaimed painter, Gregory Burns, the retreat’s intoxicating jungle scenery and wildlife offers vivid snapshots at every turn, promising an amazing learning experience that is brimming with a sense of adventure.

Occupying 160 acres in the lush jungle landscape of northern Thailand, Anantara Golden Triangle Resort & Spa, as its very name suggests, overlooks the mythical convergence of Myanmar, Laos and Thailand. Views over the misty hillsides of these three countries, as well as the Mekong River that gracefully meanders in between, create postcard perfect imagery, equaled only by opportunities to marvel at the 30 strong cast from the resort’s on-site Elephant Camp.

Immersed in this majestic haven, comes the temptation to release your creative flair under the expert guidance of Australian native, Gregory Burns. A world renowned contemporary artist boasting a Master in Fine Art, this intrepid traveler’s colourful paintings have been extensively exhibited at some of the most revered galleries and museums across 14 countries around the globe, including the JK Kennedy Center Gallery, Washington DC; The United Nations, New York; and The Singapore Art Museum amongst many others.

Such broad and high profile experience sets an ideal stage for enthusiastic artists, from beginners to advanced, to embark on customised half day, full day or two day workshops. Receive daily tuition overflowing with all the aspirational advice and motivation needed to develop your own artistic talents, as you capture the enthralling sights of our resort’s lush jungle setting. Sketch and draw on location with our two-tonne giants. Watch them interacting in their natural habitat, mirror their gentle beauty in your artwork, and take home your creations as memoirs of your eye opening jungle stay.

While for truly eye catching pieces from the master, as well as a worthy investment, Gregory Burns’ artwork is exhibited throughout the hotel and is available for purchase by guests.
