Angelini Italian restaurant at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong will stage an exclusive wine dinner on 4 November 2009 featuring exquisite wines from Donnafugata in Italy. There will be a lucky draw and guests will have the opportunity to win a Donnafugata wine gift box.

Angelini Chef Vittorio Lucariello has prepared a six course dinner menu to delight the discerning palates of guests. The feast will begin with Almond and Citrus Zest Cous Cous complemented with Anthilia White Sicilia IGT 2007, followed by Seared Bluefin Tuna with Fennel Seed Country Potato, Capers and Anchovies Salad matched with Vigna di Gabri White Contessa Entellina DOC 2007, which was awarded a four-star rating by Decanter magazine 2009. The Cod Fish with Thin Crispy White Polenta, Baked Eggplant and Cherry Tomato Sauce will be accompanied with Angheli Red Sicilia IGT 2006 and Artisanal Spaghetti with Mashed Zucchini, Fresh Basil and Ragusano Cheese will be matched with Tancredi Red Contessa Entellina DOC 2006. Slow-braised Lamb Shank with Bell Peppers and Mint will be complemented with Mille e una Notte Red Contessa Entellina DOC 2005, which was awarded Tre Bicchieri (Three Glasses) by Gambero Rosso 2009, 92 points by Wine Enthusiast 2008 and 90 points by Wine Advocate 2009.

To provide guests with a sweet finish, Sicilian Cassata Soufflé made from Ricotta Cheese, Candied Fruit and Chocolate served with Orange Cream Sauce will be paired with Ben Ryé Passito di Pantelleria DOC 2006, which was awarded Tre Bicchieri in the Sweet Wine of the Year category by Vini d’Italia Gambero Rosso Slow Food 2008, 95 points by Wine Enthusiast 2008 and 94 points by Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar 2008.

The wine dinner is priced at only HK$988 plus 10 per cent service charge per person.

Angelini delivers authentic Italian cuisine using only the finest ingredients of the season, accompanied with an extensive wine list of over 100 Italian wines.
