In conjunction with the International Travel Expo 2009 held in Ho Chi Minh City on 1st October, Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa has been awarded “Resort of the Year (Vietnam)” by the Tourism Alliance Awards (TAA). TAA is newly introduced this year to recognize the brightest tourism stars in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. This is co-organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association; Cambodian Association of Travel Agents; Cambodia Hotel Association; Lao Association of Travel Agents and IIR Exhibitions, with support from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and the Cambodia and Laos National Administrations.
“We are very proud to win this award” says General Manager, Mr. Claude M. Balland, who has been managing the Victoria Hoi An since its opening. “Amongst all the international brand names operating resorts in Vietnam, this award is a true testament to our brand and quality”.
Opened in April 2001, Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa is a warm, restful retreat on a pristine white-sand beach on the outskirts of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An in central Vietnam. This charming resort replicates a traditional fishing village with small streets, water ponds and village houses with clay-tiled roofs. The resort features 109 rooms, and offers various types of bungalows and suites decorated exquisitely in Japanese, colonial French or traditional Vietnamese styles, reflecting the elegance of local handicrafts and diversified culture. Other international standard facilities include the Victoria Spa, choices of dining options and recreational activities.
