Distinguished® International Hotels, Residences and Resorts is pleased to welcome Alberto Zampi as the new Director of Development, Italy.

Recently appointed to answer an increasing demand of Italian properties needed for the Distinguished® portfolio, Mr. Zampi brings 42 years of experience in hotel management. A self-professed “globetrotter” with postings in such countries as France, England, Austria and South Africa, his passion and unwavering dedication for the hospitality industry has garnered him the highest of respect.

After managing the 5 star Regina Hotel Baglioni in Rome for 15 years, Mr. Zampi became International P.R. Director for Baglioni Hotels (www.baglionihotels.com). Currently he is an independent hotel consultant and has been the President for the well established Rome Skal Club for the past 5 years which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

The Distinguished® brand is geared to boutique-style independently owned luxury hotels that are unique to their region and stand out by the standards of service they uphold.

In less than a year of operation, Distinguished® with an offering of 466 rooms thus far, is gaining a solid reputation for its effective marketing program to the North American leisure and business traveler. Most notably are the Best Rate Dare program, which guarantees the lowest rates, the Web 2.0 Social Media initiatives and visibility at all of the top trade and consumer upscale travel shows across the United States.

“The American market is the most important market in the world,” explains Mr. Zampi “there is no denying it. We have some beautiful properties in Italy that I know will be well received in the US and I want to make sure they are getting the proper exposure they need. I must say, the Distinguished® program is quite elaborate and not expensive for the value of what is being offered. I have no hesitation to recommend their services to any hotel that wants to gain visibility in North America. None!”

“Today’s luxury traveler seeks real value for their dollar,” Paul Follows, Director of European Development and International Skal Councilor for the UK. “Italy has always been one of the popular European destinations. Although we have known this, it became quite clear from the demands we received at the various shows we attended in the United States these past few months. Alberto Zampi’s stellar reputation precedes him; he is much respected and well known. I am sure he will be a great asset for us in the months and years to come, as we bring in more Italian properties to match our increasing demand.”
