Marriott International Ranks Third on LATINA Style's 'Best Companies for Latinas in the U.S.' (United States)

Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) has been recognized as the third-highest ranked company in LATINA Style magazine's "50 Best Companies for Latinas to Work for in the U.S." Marriott has remained on the 'top 50' list for 12 consecutive years.
According to LATINA Style, more than 800 of the most prominent corporations in the U.S. were included in the extensive search, and were evaluated in the following areas: the number of Latina executives, mentoring programs, Latina board members, educational opportunities, alternative work policies, dependent/child care support, employee benefits, women's issues, job retraining, and Hispanic relations.
The publication highlighted Marriott's diversity ownership initiative, which helps to attract and develop relationships with minority and women owners and franchisees. Marriott was also recognized for its support of leadership programs in the Hispanic community which are aimed at training young people for professional careers in the hotel industry. Brenda Durham, vice president and assistant general counsel who serves as primary legal counsel for Marriott's hotels and resorts throughout the Caribbean and Latin America was featured in the article.
