The Michelin two-star Shang Palace restaurant at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong presents seasonal hairy crab delicacies, Chinese yellow wine and nourishing snake cuisine from 1 October to 30 November 2009.
Priced at HK$1,600 for two persons, the six-course hairy crab set menu includes Braised Shark’s Fin with Hairy Crab Roe and Crab Meat; Steamed Fresh Hairy Crab; Braised Snow Pea Sprouts with Shredded Snake; Steamed Glutinous Rice with Conpoy, Hairy Crab Roe and Crab Meat; Hot Sweetened Ginger Tea with Red Bean and Lily Bulbs; and a perfect complement of Chinese yellow wine.
The restaurant’s à la carte menu also features hairy crab delicacies and snake cuisine. Among other delights, guests can enjoy Braised Snake and Wu Shan Chicken Soup; Braised Snake with Shark’s Fin Soup; Braised Superior Bird’s Nest with Hairy Crab Roe and Crab Meat served with Chicken Broth; and Braised Dried Pomelo Skin and Snow Pea Sprouts with Hairy Crab Roe and Crab Meat.
All prices are subject to a 10 per cent service charge.
Lavishly decorated in auspicious red and gold with traditional motifs imported from China, Shang Palace offers a range of dim sum, set lunch and à la carte menus for lunch from noon until 3 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
