The Westin Convention Center and Hotel will be recognizing the 10th anniversary of the industry-changing Heavenly Bed on Monday, August 31 at 9 a.m.
The Westin will make available the impressive results from a recently conducted sleep study, in addition to sleep tips on how to achieve a good night's rest in today's fast-paced world.
Introducing the recently launched, toll-free sleep hotline, Westin representatives will explain the details and benefits of the hotline. They will discuss how Westin Hotels' dedication to its guests' sleep and wellness led it to partner with the National Sleep Foundation to create this beneficial new public service.
Lastly, a professional housekeeper from The Westin's own staff will present the luxurious 10-layer Heavenly Bed, and demonstrate how the bed is maintained to provide Westin guests with a truly heavenly experience.
Westin representatives, along with Dr. Lewis Kline, a West Penn Allegheny Health System physician who specializes in sleep medicine, will be present from 9 a.m. -- 10 a.m. to answer any questions about the sleep study results.
Introduced in August of 1999, the Heavenly Bed set a standard for the entire hospitality industry. Every major hotel brand followed suit with the development of signature beds, affecting millions of hotel beds across the globe.
There are now more than 81,000 Heavenly Beds in 64,000 Westin guestrooms worldwide. More than 75 million guests have slept on Heavenly Beds at Westin Hotels & Resorts around the globe.
Westin followed this success by creating a retail line of Heavenly Bed products, allowing guests to bring home the "heavenly" experience. The Westin has expanded Heavenly into a full-lifestyle brand, with similarly luxurious offerings for the bath, the baby and even the pet. Westin has sold more than 30,000 Heavenly Beds, 100,000 pillows, 32,000 sheets, and 13,000 showerheads to consumers thrilled by the heavenly Westin experience.
