Pan Pacific Hotels Group announced today proud honours for Pan Pacific Singapore in Travel+Leisure’s World’s Best Awards 2009 readers’ survey.

Pan Pacific Singapore was ranked among the Top City Hotels in the influential annual survey, coming in 15th in the ‘Top City Hotels in Asia’ category and topping other leading hotel brands in Singapore who made it to the list.

This is the first time the hotel has been recognised in the annual awards − decided by readers encompassing guests of the hotel, via a survey by Travel+Leisure and independent research firm Harris Interactive. Hotels were rated on guest rooms and facilities, location, service, restaurants and food, and value. Pan Pacific Singapore came in at 15 in the ‘Top City Hotels in Asia’ category with the impressive score of 89.02.

“The travel industry is fast-paced and ever competitive,” said Ivan Lee, General Manager of Pan Pacific Singapore. “To stand out from so many stellar city hotels in Asia and be recognised as one of the top city hotels is truly an honour and testament to our commitment to being the hotel of choice for guests.”

“It is indeed an honour to be recognised by our customers in Travel+Leisure’s annual awards poll and this wonderful achievement is proof positive that the brand continues to resonate strongly with consumers,” said A. Patrick Imbardelli, President and CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

Pan Pacific Singapore was also named ‘World’s Leading Business Hotel’ at the World Travel Awards in both 2008 and 2007 and held the title of ‘Asia’s Leading Business Hotel’ for three consecutive years from 2006 to 2008.

“These high-profile honours will no doubt enhance our development efforts as we leverage on them to gain greater mind-share and grow our brands.” said A. Patrick Imbardelli.
