Wyndham Hotels and Resorts today announced the opening of the 486-room Wyndham Montréal Aéroport hotel, just minutes from Pierre Trudeau International Airport. Located at 12505 Cote de Liesse, the upscale hotel merges the convenience of an airport hotel with the function space of a conference center and amenities of a resort.
Owned by affiliates of Montreal-based Jesta Group and Groupe Canvar, the former Hotel Montréal Aéroport, previously the Hilton Montréal Aéroport in Dorval, Quebec, is undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation designed to enhance the guest experience by improving guest rooms, public spaces and the exterior.
The hotel, which encircles two acres of landscaped gardens, features three restaurants, a bar, 23 meeting rooms totaling more than 19,000 square feet, indoor-outdoor heated pool, fitness center, sauna, steam room, whirlpool spa, 24-hour room service and business center.
“The addition of the Wyndham Montréal Aéroport hotel represents an important beginning of our expansion efforts in Canada,” said Jeff Wagoner, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts president. “For hotel owners looking to affiliate with a global brand, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts is a strong competitor that offers a significant value for developers and guests alike.”
Guests of the Wyndham Montréal Aéroport can take advantage of the brand’s guest recognition program when they join Wyndham ByRequest® which offers complimentary benefits such as free high-speed Internet access, a choice of welcome snack and beverage, preferred pillow type, express check-in, guaranteed late check-out, local and long-distance calls, best available room upon arrival, photocopies, faxes and online receipts.
Members also earn Wyndham Rewards® points, which can be redeemed for free hotel stays, airline tickets, name-brand merchandise and dining and shopping gift cards, among other options. In lieu of points, members may elect to earn airline or rail miles with a variety of partners.
“The hotel’s proximity to the airport and its unique facilities, amenities and services will continue to attract a wide following of leisure and business travelers,” said Carel Folkersma, hotel general manager. “We are delighted to join the Wyndham family and be backed by the world’s largest hotel company.”
Meeting and group facilities will accommodate groups up to 600 people for conferences, weddings and other social and business events. With two ballrooms, an executive boardroom and 20 other function rooms, meeting space can be configured for intimate gatherings or mid-sized events, and all are supported by a team of meeting professionals.
The Wyndham Montréal Aéroport’s three restaurants include Atmosphere, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and featuring international cuisine; Au Coin du Feu, serving steak and seafood dinners; and Eclipse, a trendy bar that serves lunch and dinner and the choice of 30 different wines by the glass.
Elsewhere in Canada, travelers can enjoy four seasons of recreational opportunities at the Wyndham Cap Tremblant Mountain Resort, nestled in the majestic Laurentian mountains of Quebec. The Wyndham Montréal Aéroport will join 455 Wyndham Hotel Group properties in Canada.
