The Rezidor Hotel Group announces that Jacques Dubois will be Acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) for all brands effective September 1, 2009. Since 2007, Dubois is already COO for Park Inn and Country Inns & Suites – he will take over the additional responsibility for Radisson Blu and Regent from Thorsten Kirschke. Kirschke has been appointed Chief Operating Offer of Carlson Hotels Americas; he will be based at the Carlson head office in Minneapolis and report to Hubert Joly, President & CEO of Carlson.
“The decision to further extend Jacques Dubois’ responsibilities responds to the ongoing need of further streamlining our business”, comments Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. “At the same time, Thorsten Kirschke’s appointment is in line with Rezidor’s and Carlson’s ambition to globally align our brands”, continues Ritter.
Jacques Dubois joined Rezidor in 1995 and has held several senior positions in operations, sales and revenue management. He is one of the driving forces behind the success of Rezidor’s mid market brand Park Inn – launched in early 2003 only Park Inn today features more than 130 hotels with more than 24,000 rooms in operation and under development across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In his new role Dubois will continue to directly report to Kurt Ritter.
