The Michelin two-star Shang Palace at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong is offering a selection of elegantly created moon cakes, featuring the first creation infused with black truffle from France, and hampers to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on 3 October 2009.

Made with traditional and innovative recipes, the variety of moon cakes available is as follows:

The Mid-Autumn Festival is the time of the year to celebrate togetherness, symbolised by the full moon. In addition to the elegantly packed moon cakes, the Diamond, Ruby and Jade hampers are filled with traditional goodies to make the perfect seasonal gifts. The hampers available are as follows:

Contents: Double Egg Yolk with White Lotus Seed Paste Moon Cakes (four pieces), Shang Palace Home-made Chilli Sauce, Jasmine Tea, Home made Chinese Cookies, Deep-fried Sesame Balls, Superior Chinese Mushrooms, Dining Voucher valued at HK$300, a box of Chocolates, Fresh Seasonal Fruits and a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, Dona Paula.

Jade Hamper 1,388

Contents: Mini Moon Cakes with Egg Yolk and White Lotus Seed Paste (six pieces), Shang Palace Home-made Chilli Sauce, Jasmine Tea, Strawberry Tea, Deep-fried Sesame Balls, Home-made Chinese Cookies, Dining Voucher valued at HK$200, a box of Chocolates, Fresh Seasonal Fruits and a bottle of Chin Hua Diao Pagoda.

The moon cakes and hampers are available for sale from 1 August to 3 October 2009. Moon cakes and hampers can be picked up or delivered between 13 September and 3 October 2009, except for the Mini Crispy Custard Moon Cakes with Mashed Egg Yolk, Mini Crispy Custard Moon Cakes with Sliced Black Truffle and Mini Crispy Custard Moon Cakes with Bird’s Nest, which are available from 27 September to 3 October 2009. Guests can enjoy one of the four discount channels, which are early bird discount for moon cakes and hampers, bulk purchase, payment using selected credit cards and Jubilee Plus card. Delivery is charged at a per address rate, to Kowloon (HK$80), Hong Kong Island (HK$120) and the New Territories except outlying islands (HK$150).
