Patrick Ollivier, 55, has been appointed Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources and member of the Executive Committee, effective September 1, 2009. In this capacity, he will be responsible for defining the Group’s human resources policies and deploying them worldwide via the HR network, working with the HR managers in both the Hotels and Services Operations. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Ollivier was Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Quality Accor North America.
A graduate of Institut de Gestion Sociale, Mr. Ollivier joined Accor in 1982, serving in various HR positions at
Compagnie des Wagons-Lits and Carlson Wagonlit Travel. He was in charge of compensation, social benefits and expatriation until 1994 at Accor headquarters, before joining Accor North America in 2001 as Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Quality. With 26 years of experience in Human Resources, Mr. Ollivier has gained solid expertise in employee relations, training, compensation and social benefits, as well as on the operations side of the business both in France and internationally.
He will replace Cathy Kopp, who is leaving Accor after seven years of outstanding contribution to the Group and a career spanning 42 years.
