InterContinental Boston has been accepted for membership into the prestigious organization Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI). As a member, the AAA Four-Diamond hotel will receive national sales services by ALHI to the meetings, incentive/recognition travel, conventions, and expositions marketplaces. ALHI serves as a national sales arm for its exclusive membership of more than 125 Four- and Five-Diamond/Star quality hotels and resorts worldwide, to corporations, associations, incentive specialists, independent planners, and product launch specialists desiring to conduct meetings and programs requiring from 10 to more than 5,000 rooms.

“We are excited to have this exceptional new hotel added as an additional Boston option within our ALHI portfolio,” said David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI. “Boston is an exceedingly popular destination for meetings and programs. With InterContinental Boston’s widely recognized outstanding facilities, exceptional standards of service, and wonderful location and setting, it will be ideal for group business considering programs in the Northeast.”

Located on Boston’s historic and newly redefined waterfront, InterContinental Boston sits at the base of the Financial District and is surrounded by Boston Harbor and the new Rose Kennedy Greenway. Recognized as a premier meeting and social event destination, the Four-Diamond hotel features 424 ultra-modern guest rooms, and 32,000 square feet of state-of-the-art conference and event space, which can accommodate groups up to 1,200. Its two major ballrooms provide beautiful waterfront views. Additional offerings at the hotel include SPA InterContinental, a 24-hour health club, and an indoor heated pool. The hotel’s prime downtown location places it just steps away from the renowned Boston attractions, minutes from Logan International Airport, and less than one mile from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

InterContinental Boston becomes ALHI’s third member in Massachusetts, joining the acclaimed AAA Four-Diamond Seaport Boston (in Boston), which features 426 newly-renovated guest rooms and more than 200,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, and the grand oceanfront Chatham Bars Inn (in Chatham, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod), which sits on 25 acres of beautifully-landscaped grounds and sandy ocean beaches, and offers 217 guest rooms and 9,620 square feet of meeting space.

With a diverse luxury portfolio of over 90,000 rooms and suites and over 9 million square feet of meeting space, ALHI serves as a dedicated dues-based National Sales Organization that enables planners to gain reliable one-call, experienced national sales professional access to its outstanding member hotels and resorts worldwide. There is no cost to planners to utilize the services of ALHI, as its members’ dues fund the organization.

ALHI member properties include extraordinary meeting and incentive resorts, incomparable city hotels, exclusive smaller hotels, golf resorts, historic and landmark properties, island destinations, resorts with spas, properties in international destinations, and hotels with gaming and entertainment.
