Pan Pacific Hotels Group has appointed Rudy Rodas as General Manager for the forthcoming Pan Pacific Xiamen, an upper upscale hotel scheduled to open on 1 August 2009 in the heart of Xiamen’s financial district. The group also announced key appointments of the new hotel to deliver the genuine sense of personalised care in which Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts are renowned for.
At the helm, Rudy Rodas brings with him almost 30 years of international hotel experience, having held senior management positions with Accor, Marriott and Sheraton hotels in various countries including Australia, Beijing, Singapore, Thailand and USA.
Johnson Xi, who holds the title as Resident Manager will be assisting Rudy closely in the daily operations of the hotel as well as formulating and executing the hotel’s sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue. Johnson has held various senior positions in Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Sheraton and Sofitel throughout China. In his position, he will be supported by Chris Li, who is appointed as Marketing Communications Manager. Prior to joining Pan Pacific Xiamen, Chris was previously with Sofitel and Shangri-La and she will be focusing on marketing and public relations efforts to drive brand exposure to both local and international markets.

Guests can expect an enhanced overall experience in line with the Pan Pacific standard of subtleness, delicate service and attention to details, starting from the booking process through to their arrival and stay at the hotel.
Some of the hotel enhancements include a refreshed lobby, advanced gym facilities and room features such as flat-screen televisions with dual language controls, i-Pod docking stations and the signature Pacific Club for discerning travellers. Pan Pacific Xiamen will also feature the brand’s award-winning Cantonese restaurant, Hai Tien Lo serving up fine Chinese cuisine.
