Save the Planet with Mandala Spa’s TREEtments Programme
Great Hotels of the World (http://www.ghotw.com) member, Mandala Spa & Villas in Boracay Island, The Philippines, has launched an environmental initiative called The Treetment Project. As part of their green solutions, the project will see Mandala Spa & Villas plant a tree for every spa treatment purchased and every room night booked.
Each seedling will be planted and cared for by the Mandala Spa staff in government-designated and protected areas on Boracay island and on the Aklan mainland. Guests and spa users will have the option to name their tree and will be given updates on its growth and development.
This project is the first of its kind in the industry and Mandala Spa & Villas hope that others will follow their example.
“As a destination spa we invite our guests to experience a quality of life that goes far beyond a hotel room or a massage service,” says Dieter Schrottmann, marketing director at Mandala Spa & Villas. “The wellbeing of the individual and the wellness of the planet are undeniably entwined and as a wellness leader we assure our visitors that they have made the right choice for themselves as well as for the planet. You can save the planet, one spa treatment at a time.”
Mandala Spa is considered one of Asia’s finest destination spas offering award-winning holistic therapies in an exclusive tropical sanctuary. A large selection of treatments are offered including magic stone therapy massage, green coffee therapy, papaya and pineapple body polish and liquorice and green tea facial.
The hotel also offers a selection of three seven-day honeymoon, wellness, detox and yoga packages in addition to numerous day spa packages.
