Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Liam Lambert as Operations Director, Europe.
Mr. Lambert has spent the past five years as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, where he oversaw the completion of the hotel’s significant renovation programme in 2000, and has been instrumental in re-positioning the property as one of London’s top-performing luxury hotels. Prior to his move to London, Mr. Lambert was General Manager of the Group’s flagship property, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong from 1995 to 2000. He originally joined the Group in 1991 as General Manager of the Group’s first class Excelsior Hotel, also in Hong Kong.
Mr Lambert has over 30 years experience in hotel management across the globe and is well-known within the lodging industry through his roles in many associations and societies.
In his new capacity as Operations Director, Europe, Mr. Lambert will oversee the Group’s current and future portfolio in Europe and the Middle East.
