Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International offer online discount on 2009 Alaska shore excursion bookings
Two cruise lines known for delivering unforgettable Alaska vacations onboard their ships are making it easier for guests to experience the region’s in-port offerings. Sister lines Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International are offering a discount to cruise guests sailing on select 2009 season cruises who book Alaska shore excursions online from today through June 7.
Cruisers planning to take seven-night Alaska cruises with Celebrity or Royal Caribbean through the Land of the Midnight Sun beginning June 5 and continuing through the 2009 Alaska season can take advantage of a five percent discount on the current online price of shore excursions being offered on their cruise. To receive the five percent discount, the shore excursions must be booked between May 27 and June 7. Guests can purchase as many shore excursions as their cruise itinerary allows, at the discounted rate being offered on the eligible sailings.
Both cruise lines offer over 180 shore excursions during their seven-night Alaska cruise season this year. From whale-watching excursions to glacier flightseeing, from kayaking to salmon bakes, these tours offer guests the opportunity to experience the majestic glory of the Alaska landscape and revel in the region’s unique culture.
Celebrity is offering the discount for shore excursions on 45 of its seven-night Alaska cruises in 2009. Seven-night voyages are offered on Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Mercury and Celebrity Millennium. Royal Caribbean offers 44 seven-night voyages in Alaska in 2009 where guests can take advantage of the savings on offer; these cruises are on Radiance of the Seas, Rhapsody of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas.
The discount amounts to a savings of up to $26 per person per shore excursion. The discount will be reflected during the “checkout” portion of the online shore excursion booking process. Pre- and post-cruise land tours are excluded from the discount on offer.
