Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) today announces that as part of its new partnership with Live Nation (NYSE: LYV), the world's largest live music company, it has been named "Proud Sponsor" of the Jonas Brothers 2009 summer concert tour. To celebrate, Starwood Preferred Guest(R) (SPG) is rewarding members with an opportunity to bid Starpoints on VIP packages including premium tickets to see the band perform live and attend select pre-show sound check parties in U.S. markets on the Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009. This is the first of several premium live music experiences SPG is making available to members as a result of the announced alliance. Upcoming programs will include redemption opportunities for artist experiences with Jonas Brothers, Depeche Mode, The Fray, 3 Doors Down, Blake Shelton, Taking Back Sunday and many other Live Nation artists.
"We continue to look for new ways to reward our loyal members by connecting with them through their passions and giving them the chance to surprise and delight their families both in and out of the hotel stay," said Mark Vondrasek, SVP, Distribution, Loyalty & Partnerships for Starwood. "This extraordinary opportunity to win concert tickets and an artist experience is a perfect example of the once-in-a-lifetime experiences SPG is proud to offer its members."
As the "Preferred Hotel" for Live Nation venues including all House of Blues(R) Clubs, Starwood will be able to offer its members an array of premium music offerings including special ticket offers, premium seats, interactive artist experiences and retail discounts for artist merchandise all through its SPG program.
