The Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive — Rodeo' Drive's ONLY hotel — has just completed a makeover, it was announced today by Efrem Harkham, Founder and CEO of Luxe Worldwide Hotels.
The multi-million renovation involved the soft goods in all guest rooms and suites, a redo of the penthouse, new lobby furnishings and new carpeting in Cafe Rodeo. According to Mr. Harkham, the overall design scheme of the renovation was in keeping with the vision of acclaimed designer Vicente Wolfe, who originated the hotel's interior design back in 2001.
"I know people must be saying 'who renovates a hotel in this economy?" Mr. Harkham added, "But the Luxe hotel group places a priority on ensuring that our rooms are top of the line for our guests."
The newly done rooms provide guests with a serene, relaxing ambiance featuring a contemporary style and a color palette of a light sea mist blue, white, and camel.
The hotel's primary emphasis in the redesign was on fabrics. Ultra leather was used on the lobby furniture and in the penthouse, while 100% Giza quality Egyption cotton sateen linens (400 threadcount) that were meticulously finished at Italy's top embroidery house comprise the bedding.
Of particular interest, is the new "green" mattresses that the hotel is now using. The Sterling Modular Bedding System enables the hotel to replace components of the mattress if soiled or damaged versus having to replace the entire mattress. These mattress can be disassembled for simple and thorough cleaning. All parts are detachable and interchangeable so zipper covers and other components can be removed or exchanged for professional cleaning or replacement. This form of "source reduction" preserves resources and prevents waste and makes a positive environmental impact.
Nestled comfortably between the Valentino and Michael Kors boutiques, the Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive offers travelers to Beverly Hills the opportunity to stay right in the middle of the action on what is the city's most iconic boulevard.
