Best Western International announces the opening of the Best Western Sundial, located at 7320 E. Camelback Road in Scottsdale, Ariz. (N.E. corner of Scottsdale Rd. and Camelback). Owned by Allan Henderson, this brand-new, boutique-style hotel with aspects of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture offers 54 guest rooms with modern décor.
Travelers will appreciate a complimentary continental breakfast, swimming pool with water feature, outdoor patio, hot tub and boardroom. Each guest room features pillow-top mattresses, 42-inch flat screen televisions, glass shower doors, wooden shutters and complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access. Many of the guest rooms offer whirlpool tubs and balcony views of Camelback Mountain and McDowell Mountain Ranch.
The hotel offers a variety of suites, including
12 zodiac-themed suites with astrological artwork;
The Camelback Bungalows featuring 500 square feet of living space with wet bar and flat screen television;
The Sky Suite with a living area and large balcony; and
The Eclipse Suite featuring unique eclipse photography
“Best Western is proud to welcome the Sundial to our chain,” said Mark Williams, vice president, North American development for Best Western International. “Mr. Henderson has been a long-time Best Western hotel owner, and we’re happy to see him continue to raise the bar for the brand in Scottsdale.”
Active in the Canadian hospitality industry since 1981, Mr. Henderson and his family also own and operate the Best Western Siding 29 Lodge in Banff, Alberta, and the Best Western Port O’Call Hotel in Calgary, Alberta. Mr. Henderson decided to develop and build the Best Western Sundial due to the demographic and upscale presence of the city. The hotel was built on the exact foot print of the original 22 room bungalow style resort, operated by Mr. Henderson’s grandparents.
Located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, guests have easy access to a variety of attractions including the Scottsdale Waterfront, IMAX Theatre Scottsdale, Scottsdale Historical Museum, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Desert Botanical Gardens. Minutes from the hotel, guests will enjoy shopping at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall and Scottsdale's Fifth Avenue shops.
Rates start at $225 per night. Upon check-in, guests will receive adventure packages including V.I.P. cards for no waiting privileges and other perks at near by nightclubs. Travelers can contact the property directly at 480.994.4170 for special packages.
Guests also can enroll in Best Western RewardsSM, the brand's free frequent-stay program.
