After almost two years of construction and outfitting, the new holiday resort, Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay, officially opens at the beginning of April 2009 with 325 luxurious guestrooms and suites, four restaurants, three bars, over 400 metres of private sandy beach and a large variety of leisure facilities to meet the expectations of the demanding globe trotter.

Located on the Soma Bay peninsula within a 45 minute drive from Hurghada International Airport with over 20 daily direct flight connections to Europe, the Moorish styled sea front resort complex is an unspoiled haven for scuba divers, water sport enthusiasts and kite-surfers.

The bounteous wide spread aqua-park landscape boasts various multi level swimming pools and a lazy river and promises bathing fun for guests of all age groups; while the 2000 square metre Spa and Health Club, the 18 hole championship and the 9 hole compact golf courses with
breathtaking views over the Red Sea perfectly complement the wide variety of leisure facilities on offer at the resort.

Mr. Martin H. Kolb, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay says: “We are promising perfect sunshine every day, and would offer our guests a complementary night stay in cases of rain and lack of sun shine which spoils their beach and pool fun.”Luxuriously designed and furnished with an Oriental style and a touch of Western elegance, providing European quality of hospitality tradition, all guest rooms and suites are equipped with flat screen satellite TV, individually adjustable air-conditioning, Internet access
as well as generously spaced marble tiled bath rooms. Suites are spacious and sophisticated.

The restaurants and bars at the hotel offer a carefully selected variety of food and beverage with excellent quality. The main restaurant, “The View” is central located and boasts a large terrace overlooking the Red Sea. Martin H. Kolb explains: “The lavish buffet breakfast buffet in the morning is the perfect start in the day; while in the evenings our guests find a wide selection of starters, salads and deserts served in buffet style in addition to four different live cooking stations preparing different dishes combining international cuisines and regional specialties according to the guests’ wishes.” The culinary offer is completed with a Lobby bar and lounge, a beach bar, a pool bar and a water-pipe (shisha) corner.

Special attention is given to our young guests and families with the soft sloping sandy beach, pleasant water temperature, the baby pool and the kids’ club which ensure an unmatched leisure experience for children. A specially trained and dedicated animation team keeps kids busy under professional supervision to enable the parents to relax.
Specially designed kids’ menus in the restaurants and small sized bath robes and slippers in guest rooms are few of the children facilities which make them feel special and cared for.

Take advantage of a special opening package, valid until April 30, 2009. Seven nights in a Garden View room, half board, complimentary airport transfers from and to Hurghda International Airport and guaranteed sunshine (if it should rain, a 10% discount on the package applies) from EUR 499 (approx. USD 660).
