Cruise Guests will receive a $50 Future Cruise Certificate for Supporting Windstar's Latest Environmental Initiative
Windstar Cruises, which operates a three-ship fleet of luxury yachts that explore hidden harbors and secluded coves of the world's most treasured destinations, has introduced an e-Sail Docs program to support the cruise line's environmental efforts. Not only will Windstar guests who participate in the program help the environment, they will receive their cruise documents earlier, in a more convenient fashion since e-Sail Docs will be delivered electronically.
e-Sail Docs include the same information as traditional paper documents; however, they are delivered as a PDF file through email. Guests, who are interested in participating in the e-Sail Docs program, can now sign up for them through a Windstar reservations specialist. Guests will receive their e-Sail Docs shortly after their final cruise payment is made and will collect a $50 per person future cruise certificate as a thank you for helping support Windstar's environmental initiatives.
"Windstar is extremely committed to environmental protection and we continue to look for practices we can engage in to safeguard our environment," said Diane Moore, president, Windstar Cruises. "Ideally, we would like to get 100 percent guest participation in our new e-Sail Docs program."
Windstar works to ensure that guests enjoy the luxury and comfort of cruising while the cruise line does its part to preserve the environment. Windstar ships are accredited to the internationally recognized ISO 14001 standard for their environmental management system. Windstar has designated ship environmental officers who are responsible for maintaining Windstar's robust standards to preserve and protect the marine environment and its many inhabitants. Windstar's environmental practices include recycling and waste reduction efforts, fuel and water conservation efforts as well as the use of environmentally-friendly, biodegradable cleaning supplies
