Marriott Rewards adds Priority Pass as a new redemption option
Marriott Rewards members now have the key to getting first class service when traveling through the world's airports. Priority Pass, a membership program that offers access to more than 600 VIP lounges at airports worldwide, is Marriott Rewards' newest redemption option. It joins Marriott Rewards' many awards designed to help make life easier on the road. Members who choose not to redeem Marriott Rewards points can join at a discounted rate.
Priority Pass offers three levels of annual membership. The Standard Membership gives access to all the lounges for a visit fee of $27 per person (all dollar figures in US$). The Standard Plus Membership includes 10 free visits, additional visits are charged at $27 per person per visit. The Prestige Membership includes unlimited access for the member. Members can take accompanied guests into the lounges for a guest visit fee of $27 per person. Members who redeem points for any of these membership levels will receive an extra three months on their annual membership. For more information, go to www.marriottrewards.com/prioritypass .
Marriott Rewards members who want to pay for their membership to Priority Pass can join at the special rate of $199 for a Standard Plus membership, a savings of $50, and $359 for a Prestige membership, a savings of $40, plus an additional three months.
Priority Pass is just the latest in a series of options Marriott Rewards provides members to make travel less stressful including: redeeming points for CLEAR card memberships, which allows travelers to use express security lanes at airports around the U.S.; and the Luggage Club, which allows people to ship their luggage from door to door.
Marriott Rewards points can be earned and redeemed at nearly 3,000 Marriott International hotels around the world, including Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield Inn by Marriott, TownePlace Suites by Marriott, SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Marriott Vacation Club, Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club and Grand Residences by Marriott Vacation Club.
Marriott Rewards points may be redeemed for hotel stays, frequent flyer miles, cruises, car rentals, brand-name merchandise and more. Marriott Rewards won the 2008 Freddie Award for "Best Hotel Rewards Program" as well as by the readers of Business Traveler, Global Traveler, Travel Savvy, Executive Travel and BusinessWeek magazines.
